There are millions of people with computers in there homes, schools, businesses or a personal computer. Buying a new computer is very expensive and should be done with caution. There are a few things that you will have to take in to account before you buy it. Read on.

Step 1

Think about what you want your new computer to do for you. If you need one for your work you may need a simple one with word programs like Microsoft Word or OpenOffice. If you want a computer to play games you will need something more advanced and more expensive.
Step 2

If you need a computer for work all you need is about 1.5 gigahertz of speed processing. A lot of hard drives come with about 40 gigabytes of memory for computers which is more than enough. You will also need a CD drive of any type (CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-RW) and maybe a few USB ports for additional memory or a printer.
Step 3

The monitor should at least be 15'' or you may not be able to see it.
Step 4

If you are buying a gaming computer you may need to dish out more cash. You may need a lot of memory for those huge games, a nice size monitor and a killer graphics and video card. Speed will also need to be very high when you are playing games Online like MMORPG's.
