I will tell you how to make a basic two color friendship bracelet.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Two bundles of Embroidery String, in different colors, available at any craft store.
  • A medium sized safety pin
  • Scissors
  1. Step 1

Take a piece of string and measure around your wrist or ankle, to see how long you want your bracelet to be. After you have your size, measure and cut 4 strings, Two in one color and two in the other. With all 4 strings bundled up, tie one end in a knot.

  2. Step 2

I like to use my jeans to anchor the bracelet.Take the safety pin, with the open end and stick it through your jeans a little, bringing it out on the other side, stick the pin through the knot of the bracelet, and repeat the stick through the jeans, and close pin. Your bracelet should be secure. This can also be done on anything sturdy and won't move.

  3. Step 3

Spread the stings of the bracelet out in any pattern you would like. You can have two colors together, or ,for example, have 1 pink then one white, etc. Starting on the right side, take the string furthest right and tie a knot around the 2nd string. Still using the 1st string, repeat the two knots on strings 3 and 4. You have now completed one row. Please remember that your knots should not be super tight, nor should they be extremely loose. It should be just enough to be neat and uniform.

  4. Step 4

To start another row, repeat step 3. You can keep repeating until your bracelet is of desired length. You can also make the bracelet thicker by doubling the amount of strings you use. Ex, instead of 4 strings, use 6 or 8. When you are done, you can either tie the end into a knot and ties the bracelet around your arm, or you can buy a finishing product from the crafts store. Theses bracelets are fairly easy to make and don't take an unusually long time to complete.

Tips & Warnings
  • The better your anchor, the better the bracelet
  • Use colors that stand out
  • Take your time! Don't be afraid to start over
