Step 1
Location, location, location! It's not just for buying a house. You may want a pony, but if you live in an apartment, it may not be a good idea. If you live in a house in city, a small pup may better fit.
-
Step 2
How much time are you willing and have for your pet? If you have gobs of time to kill, then getting a pet that requires a lot of attention would be perfect. But if you only time fime for your friend between swimming, piano, school, and friends, then getting something as attention-hungry as a dog wouldn't be the best idea.
-
Step 3
Achoo! Sniff sniff. You may be dying for a bird, but your poor little brother or dad may be allergic to them. Consider any allergies you or your family might have before picking your pet.
-
Step 4
Cut out that racket! If you live in a neighborhood with lots of houses close together and want a dog, then getting a loud and noisy one would be a bad idea.
