How to Read Movie Scripts Online
For some movie fans, simply having a large movie collection isn't enough. These people might also want to read and have copies of movie scripts. A movie store or even a street vendor in your area might sell movie scripts. As a way to save money, search for scripts to your favorite movies online and print out them out.

Using Simply Scripts

Go to the Simply Scripts homepage (see "Resources").

Click the "Movie Scripts" button at the top of the page.

Scroll down the movie page until you see the "Movie Scripts By Letter" box. Click the appropriate letter for the movie script you wish to read. For example, if you wanted to read the movie script for "Cast Away," you'd click the button labeled "C."

Search through the titles until you find the movie script you want to read. Then click on the title of the movie. The movie script will open either on a new page or in a new window.
Using Internet Movie Script Database

Visit the Internet Movie Script Database website (see "Resources").

Type in the name of the movie in the "Search IMSDb" text box on the left side of the page. You can also search for the movie script by clicking one of the letter links in the "Alphabetical" box. This works the same way as described in step 3 of section 1.

Browse through the list of titles on the next page. Then click on the name of the movie. You will be taken to the page for that movie.

Scroll down the page and click the " 'movie name' Script" link. The movie script will open on another web page.

Tips & Warnings
If you are having problems finding a certain movie script, join the Simply Scripts discussion board. Go to the Simply Scripts homepage and click the "Discussion Board" tab. Once you do, register on the board. From there, post a message regarding the script you're searching for. You might find that a member of the discussion board has the script or can tell you where you can find it.
Unfortunately, you will not be able to find scripts to all movies online. This is because scripts are copyrighted material. Sharing movie scripts is much like sharing music. These websites simply link to movie scripts that have been scanned and placed on the Internet, and the links could, from time to time, be removed or deleted.
