Windows Media Player is equipped with the ability to burn both audio and data CDs. When burning an audio CD, Windows Media Player typically converts files to .WAV. WAV files are large and take up a lot of room on a disk. To avoid this, select to burn a data CD--this will let you burn your MP3 files without converting them.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open Windows Media Player and insert a blank CD-R into your computer's optical drive.

  2. Step 2

Click on "Burn" and select "Data CD" from Windows Media Player's drop-down menu.

  3. Step 3

Add the MP3 files you want to burn into the blank field on the right side. Windows Media Player will show how full the disk is.

  4. Step 4

Click on "Start Burn" when you have all the files together.

  5. Step 5

Wait for the burn process to finish and remove the disk. It should contain all the MP3 files you added in Step 3.
