How to Clean a Trojan Worm
Trojan worms are a class of virus software that are installed on your computer when you try to download a program or file that looks like something other than a virus. These virus programs will then typically try to propagate themselves across the Internet by hijacking your email account and sending copies of itself to anyone in your address book. To clean your system of a Trojan worm, you will need to prevent the virus from running, then use an anti-virus tool.

Tips & Warnings
Don't leave the system restore system running when you are trying to remove a Trojan. Your computer's operating system will set up a new restore point as soon as any anti-virus program starts running. The new restore point will still have the Trojan, which means your computer will likely become infected again as soon as you restart it.
If you don't restart your computer in "Safe Mode," the Trojan can continue to run its executable files, which means it could reinstall itself as soon as the virus scanner has finished running.
