Things You'll Need:
- Vacuum cleaner with attachment
- Dish soap
- Nylon brush
- Clean towel

Step 1
Remove the lint trap from the dryer.

Remove as much of the lint as you can by pulling it out with your hands.

Use the brush attachment on the vacuum cleaner to suck up as much loose dirt and debris as possible.

Fill the sink with hot soapy water.

Put the filter in the water and scrub it with a nylon brush.

Step 6
Rinse the filter with clear water. If the water pools in the filter or there is still visible debris, scrub the filter with the hot soapy water and rinse again until the water runs right through the filter with no pooling.

Step 7
Set the filter on a clean dry cloth to dry.
