How to Get Sharpie Off of a Baby
You can spend years keeping your house baby-proofed, but one Sharpie on the floor and it's all over. If you've accidentally left a Sharpie where your child can reach it, chances are they've covered themselves with the marker before you can look up. If your child has turned into a permanent-marker mess, there are a few steps you can take to remove Sharpie marks from your baby's skin with a few items around the house.

1
Act fast. The sooner you treat the Sharpie marks, the easier they will be to remove. As soon as you see your child has gotten into a Sharpie, grab your child and get to work.
-
2
Lather a washcloth with baby soap like Gerber Grins and Giggles. Gently graze the stained area with the washcloth, but don't rub, as rubbing may set the Sharpie marks further into the skin. Let the soap permeate for two minutes. Rinse the washcloth thoroughly.

3
Dip the washcloth into liquid makeup remover. Dab the stained area with the washcloth.
-
4
If the Sharpie stains have still not been removed, spray some hairspray on the stained area and rub off immediately with the washcloth.
-
5
For any residual stains, rub antibacterial hand gel into the area and let dry. Apply as necessary to completely remove the stain.
