The best dishes are often created using family recipes passed down through the generations. Collecting those recipes and storing them in one convenient location is the choice of many cooks across the country. A great way to catalog your recipes is to record them on recipe cards and keep them in a recipe box in your kitchen for easy access.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Purchase index cards that include tabs at the top (see Resources for a sample).

  2. Step 2

    Write your recipes on the index cards, using one card for each recipe.

  3. Step 3

    Write the recipe names on the tabs at the top of the cards.

  4. Step 4

    File the recipe cards in the recipe box in alphabetical order.
