How to Install Nintendo DS Opera

Nintendo DS Opera is an Internet browser available for purchase as a game cartridge for the DS Lite portable console, or purchase it online for the original DS. For the new DSi, the Opera web browser is now available as a free download when connecting your DS to the Nintendo Shop. Downloading and installing Opera for the DSi is simple. The download and installation process is the same for the original DS as well.

How to Install Nintendo DS Opera

1. Connect to the Internet on your DSi using a Wi-Fi connection. Once connected, you will see the Nintendo DSi shop. Click on the option to go to the shop.

2. Browse through the downloads until you see the Nintendo DSi Browser. This is the same as the Opera browser. Click on the Download option.

3. Go to your main online menu once the browser is finished downloading. Go to your Download option and you'll see the DSi browser. Press the "A" button to load it, and it will automatically install itself.

4. Choose how you want to view the websites on the browser when the Preferences option first appears. You can do this by using your stylus on the touch screen.

5. Click on the option to view the step-by-step tutorial for using the web browser. During the tutorial, you can find new ways to change your preferences, and learn how to fully utilize the browser.
