If you are active in the internet blog community you have probably heard about the April Rose blog hoax. When the blog started "B" claimed she was an unmarried, pregnant Christian that was carrying a terminally ill baby she was going to name April Rose. So how do thousands of blog followers handle a hoax like this? Follow these steps for a little help as you come to terms with the hoax.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first step in handling the April Rose blog hoax is to gather as much accurate information as possible. There are several blog authors that have worked very hard to gather as much accurate information as possible on this hoax. Please follow the links in the resource section of this article to get the most accurate information possible.

  2. Step 2

If you sent "B" any money or items feel free to contact the Internet Crime Complaint Center. They can investigate your complaints or concerns. While charges may never be filed the investigation process will at least hold "B" accountable in some way.

  3. Step 3

Acknowledge your feelings. If you were a follower of the April Rose blog you are probably feeling confused, angry, frustrated, hurt, and a slew of other emotions. Acknowledge how you feel and know that it is okay to feel that way.

  4. Step 4

Pray about the situation. It takes a very sick person to create such a web of lies. Pray for her to get the help she needs but to also be held accountable in some way for her choices. And pray that God can help you process your own emotions in a healthy way.

  5. Step 5

Let it go. Eventually you will have to let it go. Remember that while bad blogs come along from time to time there are also lots of really great blogs out there. So put this experience behind you and redirect your attention to some other great blogs.
