People often ask me how I make my guacamole because it's better than store bought and tastes excellent. I have news for you: IT'S EASIER THAN YOU THINK.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 medium sized avocados - serves about 3
  • Juice of half a lime
  • Lawry's Garlic Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste
  1. Step 1

Selecting the right avocados: the avocado should give a little but should not feel like squishing play-doh, nor should it be rock hard. The best avocados are chosen firm and allowed to ripen in a brown paper bag for 2 days or so in the cupboard.

  2. Step 2

Once the avocados are ready, halve the avocados and remove seed. Scoop out the avocado into a small to medium size bowl. Begin mashing the avocado with a fork.

  3. Step 3

Once the avocado is mashed to your preference of chunky-ness, squeeze the juice of half a lime into the avocado and mix. The lime juice not only adds flavor, but helps preserve the guacamole for a few hours.

  4. Step 4

The secret to the perfect guacamole is using Lawry's brand Garlic Salt. I've tried others and never got the same taste. With that being said, add garlic salt and pepper to your taste preference and mix.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not allow the guacamole to sit overnight as it will brown and go bad. It is also important to note that the guacamole should not sit out of the fridge for more than 2 hours at comfortable room temperature.
