How to Make a Water Bottle Rocket

how to make a super cool water bottle rocket that will shoot all the way to the neighbors house.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• any sized water bottle
• a BIC brand pen tube
• water
• bike pump
• scissors

1. Take any water bottle that you have and take off the cap.

2. Take the cap and cut a hole in it, just big enough for the pen tube to tightly fit through.

3. Shove the tube in the cap of the bottle.

4. Glue the pen tube to the cap leaving about 1 centimeter on the inside of the bottle and let dry.

5. Unscrew the cap and fill up with one third of water.

6. Stuff the pen tube into the air pump (it is ok if it only makes it in a little ways, just push it in as far as you can and hold it there).

7. Have someone else pump up the air pump until it gets hard to hold in, and than let go of the bottle, but not the air pump, and watch it fly!

Tips & Warnings

• If the bottle is stuck, try giving it a little push, instead of just letting go.
• NEVER aim at people or animals.
• Aim away from yourself when launching the water bottle rocket.
