Step 1
Day SpaA body mask is a great way to make your skin look and feel its absolute best. If it's possible to get away to a Day Spa for a body treatment then do so. Additionally, be sure to do your homework and find a reputable one. Cost is typically $50 and up for each service.
As you may know a body mask is similar to a facial only it's done to the entire body. The only problem is that there are places that are difficult or impossible to reach. Therefore, you may only be able to treat certain areas. -
Step 2
Body mask/scrubThat is, unless you have a spouse, partner or friend who will apply the body mask for you or possibly do an exchange. There are specific steps that will make the treatment more effective, but if you can't do them all then do what you can.
First of all, you need products I say products because you should also have body scrub, loofah and moisturizer at the very least. I use Get Fresh body scrub as well as the body mask, which you can purchase on Amazon for under $50 for both. Just go to Amazon and type Get Fresh spa products. -
Step 3
SaunaNow you have products and are ready to go. If you have access to a steam room or sauna this would be great to enhance detoxification. Next it's off to the shower to exfoliate the body with your new body scrub.
Once you finish exfoliating rinse off and pat dry. If there's a partner take turns applying body mask or reach whatever areas you can on your own. All you need is full coverage don't glob it on in layers, this is a waste of product and we want to save for further treatments. The mask is on 20-30 minutes or as directed. -
Step 4
MoisturizeLastly, rinse off body mask pat dry, apply moisturizer and proceed with your routine skin care regimen. In addition, if you have acne, eczema or other skin condition test products in a small area before you apply to the entire body just to be on the safe side.
Everybody's skin responds differently, so you will need to be the judge on how often to do a body mask. Once or twice a month is considered average.
