How to Locate People for Free

Do you need to Locate some people? Long lost friends, relatives, neighbors, school friends? It used to be very difficult to try to locate people, but with all the varied search engines, it is becoming more and more possible. Just follow these few tips to find your long, lost relative.

1. Try the normal search engines--but don't expect that to be everything on the web. It has been estimated that the major search engines only cover about a few percent of the total information on the web. There is a hidden part of the web that one needs to search for hard to find people.

2. Search the deep web! There is a major part of the internet that the "Big search engines" ignore, called the deep web.

3. Start with searching Wink.com. Wink's intro says it is the world's largest people search engine with info on 200 million people's profiles including social networks and online communities. This search engine has a people search, email search, background search, and phone number search.

4. Search Pipl.com. Pipl's search engine searches deep websites that can't be found on normal searches. Most of the higher quality information about people are not on the normal web. Check out this site for quality information.

5. Search 123People.com. This is an interesting, free search engine to help you locate people and add your own knowledge. You can add info to every search. This search engine checks videos, social-networking sites, wikipedia profiles, and international profiles.

Tips & Warnings

• Think outside the box. Check associations, professional societies, fraternal society websites.
• Find a search engine that searches blogs and forum postings.
• Remember to Bookmark all relevant websites so you can return to them.
• Don't give up. This searching can be addictive.
