    Things You'll Need

    • 2 bandannas
    • a large button
    • 2yds. heavy cord
    • beaded fringe

        Fold the bandannas in half so they form a perfect triangle.
        Place them together, matching all corners , with the pointed side down and the right sides out.
        Baste or pin the two sections together.

        Insert the ribbon edge of the beaded fringe between the edges of the two bandannas, all around the two sides.
        Baste or pin it together and sew it securely on the right and left edges.
        Do not sew the straight top edges.

        Cut a length of the heavy cord , or make a crocheted or braided cord, to your desired length. Allow about 3 " extra.
        Place the ends of the cord down inside the side seams and hand sew it securely using either a whip or overcast stitch.

        Cut a short length of cord, about 4' long and form a loop.
        Sew the ends of the cord, side by side at the top center of one side of the purse.
        Then sew the button on the opposite side.

    Tips & Warnings

    • You may want to create your own beaded fringe and sew it directly onto the purse.

    • Make sure the strap is securely sewed.
