Relying on pain medication, isn't always healthy. Especially for those who have suffered from substance abuse. Taking pain medication, can possibly lead you right back down a road of drugs and alcohol again. Even those who've never done drugs, have become quite easily addicted to pain medication.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Eazol
  • Acupuncture
  • Doctor
  • Ice Pack
  1. Step 1

Put an ice pack on where you feel the pain. This can be extremely helpful and easy way to relieve pain. There's even a ice massage therapy, for those who suffer bad backs. Extremely helpful for bad joins and torn muscles. Can help heal as well.

  2. Step 2

Massage where the pain is coming from. Great for backs and necks, if that's where you're feeling pain. Gently massage, or have someone massage where you're feeling the pain the most. It will help you relieve the tension along with the pain. May not relieve it completely, but should help at lease. Try to relax your body as best as you can.

  3. Step 3

Get an acupuncture. I know sticking needles into your body may seem worse, but it does relieve pain. Locate a practitioner, if you're dealing with severe pain. This can be as helpful as pain meds.

  4. Step 4

Get the actipatch. Great for back pain and body pain. Requires no medicine or chemicals in your body.

  5. Step 5

Exercise where you're feeling the pain. If you're in serve pain, I wouldn't recommend doing this. But if you're able to move, then exercise. You need to build back your strength.

  6. Step 6

Talk to your doctor. They can give you recommendations, or certain physical therapy to help relieve the pain you're feeling. If you suffer from back pain, see a chiropractor.

  7. Step 7

Herbal pain medication. For instance taking a herbal pain medication like Eazol. It's a non-addictive medicine, that can help with chronic pain as well. You don't need a prescription, but it can be pretty costly.
