Decide what fabric you'll be using for your quilt or other quilting project before looking at the free patterns. Maybe you have a lot of scraps and will be looking for patterns that you can use up some of these small pieces and only have to buy fabric for the borders or as a main color. Or you may have enough fabric on hand to use all of your own fabric.
Or look at the free patterns to see if your fabric scraps and remnants will work for one of the projects. With the free quilting pattern, your quilt could be free.
