Stay hydrated to cure hangovers

The best hangover relief is to avoid drinking too much. Or if you stay hydrated, you won't absorb as much alcohol. Natural remedies can help you cure a hangover. For full relief, your body will need at least 12 hours to restore equilibrium.
For hangover relief, try these treatments.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • tomatoes
  • bananas
  • water
  • vitamins
  1. Step 1

Tomato juiced mixed with sauerkraut juice is a known hangover cure. Mix the juices half and half. Sauerkraut juice is available canned or you can pour out the juice from a jar of sauerkraut.

  2. Step 2

Eat bananas. Bananas are an excellent source of potassium which cures hangovers.

  3. Step 3

Vitamin B12 helps hangover relief. Take 5 mgs and if you can take it sublingual, as vitamin B12 is hard to absorb through the stomach.

  4. Step 4

Omega 3 fatty acids also help cure hangovers.

  5. Step 5

Drink slowly. If you consume three alcoholic drinks over three hours, you will be less likely to have a hangover than if you consume all three in one hour.

  6. Step 6

Burned toast contains carbon and absorbs alcohol from your system for hangover relief.

  7. Step 7

Eat fatty foods. The grease in fatty foods, such as pizza, lines the stomach and prevents alcohol absorption.

Tips & Warnings
  • Eat food before you drink to absorb alcohol.
  • Drink responsibly and don't drink and drive.

on 6/12/2009 Great tips! The hydration-to-avoid problems I knew, and a few of the others, but the burnt toast?! Now there's a reason never to drink too much ;-)
