Anyone who uses a blog to make money knows that the only way you can keep earning money from the blog is to keep the traffic coming.

While there are many ways to get readers to your blog, the question is - how do you get them to keep returning? If a reader isn’t impressed by your blog at all, then they’ll leave your blog, never to return again.

Step 1

EDIT YOUR BLOG DESIGN - Blog readers enjoy looking at a well organized, inviting site without a lot of distracting graphics. A few animated graphics is fine, but try not to overwhelm your blog with annoying pop-ups or overdone ads. Use fonts that are clearly legible and in a dark enough color to be easily read.

UPDATE CONTENT REGULARLY - To keep readers, and search engine crawlers coming back to a blog, content needs to be continually updated. Readers will come back to a blog that is updated at least one to three times per week.
Step 3

ADD MULTIMEDIA - Text entries are valuable, but adding multimedia keeps a blog reader engaged for a longer period of time. By creating a variety of content, readers will be more likely to revisit or subscribe to your blog.
Step 4

BE CONSISTENT - If your blog topic is about homeschooling, keep the content related to homschooling. Do not try to merge too many topics. This alienates readers, and comes across as confusing.

Use a blog-friendly hosting site that is used and recommended by many other bloggers. This helps ensure your blog won't experience technical problems that alienate readers.
Network with other bloggers who write about a similar topic. Cross-promote their website and ask them to promote yours, as well.
