Things You'll Need:
- books to read
- motivation
- patience
-
Step 1
Okay, so you're going to jail - I don't know for how long since I'm not familiar with your situation. I've been in jail for 5 years and it was incredibly hard - but I made it out finally. I don't want you to go through the same stuff I went through - so learn from my mistakes.
-
Step 2
There are different jails, it all depends on where you are and what kind of crime you've made - pray that it's gonna be a good place. Once you get in understand that you need to behave well - this way they'll let you out a lot earlier - believe me, it's worth it. I was sentenced to 7 years, but got out in 5 just because I wasn't making trouble.
-
Step 3
Living in jail is just like living in another country - you need to make good connections - everything is about connections, you need to be on good terms with the "bad boys" - the only way you can do that is to appear as a strong guy - never show weakness in jail - never. Weakness in jail can get you killed - that's why instead of being weak - get out your core confidence and show some balls - don't let people fool around with you too much, as I said - weak guys get beaten up all the time and the "bad boys" take out their frustration on them.
-
Step 4
You need to get used to a hard life - mentally. Surviving jail is a mental game - the stronger you are mentally, the better you'll take it. I suggest you accept what happened - stop thinking about what you should have, could have done etc. - it is what it is - accept your current situation. Once you accept it - it will be easier to live there.
-
Step 5
The only way you can take out your frustration - which you will have if you don't accept your situation - is to work out. You're gonna have to do lot's of push ups, crunches, chin ups - anything you can do - do it. This is the best thing you can do in jail - work out all the time, once you get stronger you'll be able to take more pain and people won't mess with you. It's hard to gain weight in jail because the food is crap - but eat whatever you get - you need food for staying strong in jail.
-
Step 6
There are 2 things you can do in jail to improve your situation once you get out - one is working out as much as possible, and the second - reading. The more you read the better - it's the only thing you can do to not get bored out of your mind. If you are in jail for a few years - you can read more than 200 books in this period - which can really help you once you get out. I've read around 25 books on self-improvement and making money - it's been more than a year since I got out and I have a great car, my own crib and a good paying job.
