The "W' is a good shoulder exercise that builds strengths in your rotator cuffs and deltoids. Doing the exercise on a Bosu Ball builds core strength and balance too. This exercise can be done with two feet or on one leg.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pair of light dumbbells
  1. Step 1

Stand on the blue side of a Bosu Ball with your feet hip-width apart. Hold your arms up slightly above your shoulders with a dumbbell in each hand. Bend your elbows and face your palms forward.

  2. Step 2

Inhale and rotate your arms down as far as you can comfortably go.

  3. Step 3

Hold this palms-down position for two seconds.

  4. Step 4

Exhale and rotate your arms back up to the start position.

  5. Step 5

    Do 12 to 15 reps.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use light weights. The tendons in your shoulders can be easily overworked.
  • Do not try to rotate farther than your comfortable capacity. You could hurt yourself.
