Step 1
Dust and wipe off desks, tables and counter tops. Dispose of any used paper plates and wrappers. Return food and beverages to refrigerators and food storage cabinets. Dust off the outside of filing cabinets and printers, fax machines, and other office equipment. Empty desk-side wastebaskets and other office trash receptacles. Place a clean plastic trash bag in each can. Plastic will prevent spills from damaging the can.
-
Step 2
Clean bathrooms with standard bathroom cleaners and cleansers. Scrub sinks thoroughly to remove residual soap and other grime. Replace used hard soap or liquid soap. Check paper towel and toilet paper supplies and replenish as needed. Clean faucets and drains by rubbing until the metal is shiny and free of any dirt. Mop floors with ammonia or other floor cleaners.
-
Step 3
Scrub toilets thoroughly with a toilet brush. Use toilet bowl cleaners to disinfect and remove grime. Wipe off toilet seats and clean with non-abrasive cleansers. Use toilet deodorants that will keep your office toilets smelling fresh with each flush.
-
Step 4
Clean mirrors and windows by using a window cleaner and squeegee. Spray the cleaner on the window and move the squeegee straight up and down, using the blade to wipe off excess cleaning fluid. Even motions will prevent streaking. Bathroom mirrors should be cleaned whenever the bathroom is cleaned. Windows should be cleaned as needed. Dust off computer screens and use proper screen cleaners to remove dirt.

Step 5
Keep the floors of your company office free of debris. Pick up garbage or sweep it up with a broom and dustpan. Place chairs on top of desks and vacuum floors thoroughly. Use cleansers or diluted ammonia to mop tiled floors. Apply wood floor cleansers to laminates and other types of wooden floors.
