Make an Easy Tinfoil Fish Dinner

Would you like to make an easy steamed fish dinner tonight, without all of the dishes?

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • defrosted tilapia or pollock fish
  • aluminum foil
  • sliced onions
  • sliced mushrooms
  • optional seasonings (lemon juice, black peppercorn, sea salt, butter)
  1. Step 1

Take two rinsed defrosted fish fillets (tilapia or pollock) and lay them in two individual aluminum foil pouches. Dab with butter.

  2. Step 2

Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F).

  3. Step 3

Top fish fillets with sliced onions and mushrooms.

  4. Step 4

Curl up foil pouches over fish and place them into the oven. Steam for 15 minutes (more if necessary). Fish should be adequately steamed with the vegetables and tender when pricked with a fork.

  5. Step 5

Take fish out of the oven with pot holders. Dash with black peppercorn and sea salt as desired. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice over fish for added flavor. Turn off oven.

  6. Step 6

Serve alone in tinfoil or with rice and vegetables. Serves two. Could a delicious steamed fish dinner be much simpler? The best part is there will be no casserole dish to clean. Just throw away the foil when you are done.
