Hawaiian kielbasa is a different spin on the classic Polish sausage. The recipe creates a sweet and sour tasting dish. This recipe is easy to put together, as it has few ingredients. It's perfect for hot summer weather, as you don't need to stand in front of the grill or heat the oven or stove and make your house. Things You'll Need

  • 3 pounds kielbasa
  • 1 can chunked pineapple
  • 1 jar chili sauce
  • 2 cans water
  • Crock pot
  • Sharp knife

Instructions

    • 1

      Slice the kielbasa with a sharp knife into thin slices, about one inch. Put the kielbasa into the crock pot.

      Add to the crock pot a bottle of chili sauce, one can of pineapple and two cans of water, using the pineapple can to provide two parts water to one part pineapple. Stir the ingredients and set the crock pot to low.

      Cook for three hours until it is heated through, checking every 30 or 60 minutes as kielbasa does not take long to cook.

  • Use unsweetened pineapple chunks to avoid making the dish too sweet.

  • Be careful not to overcook.
