We’ll review the simple steps required to restore the Q1000 VDSL Modem Router for Qwest and manufactured by Actiontec Electronics, Inc., back to factory defaults.

Sporting a Wireless N radio, Gigabit Ethernet switch, and capacious amounts of memory, the Q1000 represents one of the most powerful DSL routers ever built. While most modems on the market provide only a single 32-bit processor and limited memory, the Q1000 boasts a powerful wireless N radio, gigabit Ethernet, a dual core 32-bit processor, 32 MB Flash, and 64 MB SDRAM. This high performance platform means the router can simultaneously support a wide range of demanding multimedia applications, including HDTV, Voice over WiFi, media sharing, and online gaming.

WARNING: Any changes that were made to the Router after the initial installation will be lost. This could include changes to the wireless network name, wireless security settings, or port forwarding configuration etc.
