Increase Your Odds of Winning the Lottery
Increase Your Odds of Winning the Lottery

Who doesn't want to win the lottery? Play smart and increase your odds of winning the lottery.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide how much money you are going to spend per week on the lottery, and set up a budget. Do not spend too much.

  2. Step 2

Now you are going to need to find which is the best lottery to play. Most people think that the large jackpot lotteries (mega millions or powerball) are the best, but they are not. You should find a similar lottery in style but with a lower jackpot and better odds.

  3. Step 3

Determine when you should play the lottery based on the size of the jackpt. This is called expected value. If the odds of winning are 1 in 10 million then you should wait until the jackpot is roughly more than 10 million dollars.

  4. Step 4

When the jackpot reaches a desired amount then put all of your saved lottery budget into the next drawing. If the odds of winning are 1 in 10 million and you have saved $10 then your odds of winning are now 1 in 1 million.

Tips & Warnings
  • Stick to your budget, don't go overboard.
  • Most times the jackpot will not reach the desired amount for 6 months so you will have a lot of money set aside for the lottery. It takes a great amount of will to spend that kind of money on the lottery but you just have to remind yourself that it was the budget you set and stick to it.
