Teach Kids Life Tips through Gardening

Teach kids life tips through gardening. Gardening and planting beautiful flowers brings great peace and tranquility to everybody’s life. Many people who live long happy lives also garden. So why not have fun with your kids this summer, while teaching them some tips.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Small area to garden
  • Seeds
  • Pots
  1. Step 1

Teach kids about the joy of working outside in fresh air and feeling the rich soil run through their fingers. Working in their garden will help them remember that peace of mind can always be had by getting a little dirty throughout their lives.

  2. Step 2

Help kids learn responsibility and hard work by tending to their beautiful flowers and plants. Working hard can produce a great harvest. Give the kids a great sense of responsibility and creativity by planning and planting their own garden.

  3. Step 3

Teach kids patience by watching their garden slowly come to life. Help the kids learn patience and hope when their garden grows and start all over again through each season’s cycle.

  4. Step 4

Realize that gardening can show kids that ultimately they have no control in life. Life throws us storms and droughts, but they should do their best. Do not worry about what they cannot control. Remember God is in ultimate control and to trust in Him when life gets rough.

Tips & Warnings
  • Enjoy spending quality time with your kids.
  • Garden inside or outside.
  • Check Target's $1 bins for flower seeds in a pot.
