Organic baby food can be costly when it is packaged. You can make your own with the organic food you already buy.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • baby food mill
  • coffee been grinder
  1. Step 1

First you will need a baby food mill and a coffee been grinder. Do not use a coffee been grinder that has been used for coffee. Purchase a separate grinder for baby food and use it for only that.

  2. Step 2

Buy organic products. You can use frozen organic fruit and vegetables defrost and grind them. You will want to steam most vegetables first. The mill works great for fruits and the grinder is good for vegetables and cooked grains.

  3. Step 3

Make foods that are easily blended into baby food. As your baby gets to be nine to twelve months you will want to introduce the flavors that the rest of the family eats. So make organic meals for your family. Some ideas are spaghetti, rice, beans, pastas, meets that can be ground, and vegetables.

  4. Step 4

Once the food is cooked grind or puree to a thin consistency. As the baby gets close to a year around ten months they can have some small chunks no bigger than a pea. Be careful if your baby is having trouble eating the baby food puree it finer and add water. Be creative and include your baby in your family meal by not using pre-made organic baby food and make your own.
