PowerPoint is a great business tool. It is used for presenting information in a visual manner. Have you ever received a PowerPoint presentation that just automatically ran? It was probably created as a "Show". This article will teach you have to create a PowerPoint Show.

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer
  • PowerPoint
  1. Step 1

    >>>Open PowerPoint<<<
    Open PowerPoint and create your presentation. Keep in mind that you many want to set-up automatic slide timing and advancement. Or you can choose to let the person viewing the presentation to click to advance the slides.

  2. Step 2

    >>>Save As<<<
    After you have created your presentation you need to save it. Normally you would just save the presentation and it would automatically choose the ".ppt" format. However, to create a presentation as a Show you want to click "File" > "Save As".

  3. Step 3

    >>>Show<<<
    In the Save As window click the "Save As Type" drop-down at the bottom of the Window, scroll down the list and select "PowerPoint Show (*.pps)", then click the "Save" button.

  4. Step 4

    >>>Send the File<<<
    Now that you have created the PowerPoint Show you can send it to anyone that has PowerPoint on their computer. Yes...you must have PowerPoint to view the show.

  5. Step 5

    >>>A Free Alternative to Microsoft Office<<<
    There are two good and free alternatives to buying MS Office. Try using Google's online tools for PowerPoint Word and Excel. Just click on the link below in the resources section. There is also a great free set of software that is similar to MS Office and it is called "Open Office". Again...see the Resources section below.
