Step 1
Tools needed for this job include a spark plug socket, ratchet, Torque wrench(optional), extension, spark plug gap gauge, and flat tip screwdriver.

Grab the rubber booth of the spark plug wire and pull it off. Use your ratchet, spark plug socket, and extension to remove the spark plug. Turn the ratchet until the spark plug is completely loosen.

Step 3
Get the new spark plug and compare it for correct replacement. Start the spark plug by hand then tighten with the ratchet. If you have a torque wrench, you may want to use it to tighten the spark plugs to the correct torque specifications. Reinsert the spark plug wire. Do the same for all of the other spark plugs.

Step 4
Now to replace the distributor cap. Loosen the screws that hold the distributor cap in place. Pull the distributor cap off and put aside.

Step 5
There’s a screw on top of the rotor. Remove that screw and replace the rotor with a new one. Reinstall the screw.

Step 6
Now replace the distributor cap and reinstall the screws that hold the cap in place. Connect all the spark plug wires on the cap. Be careful not to mix up the order of where the spark plug wires go. That’s it, you’re done.
