How to Find the BCC Field in Outlook Express
The BCC field of your email program stands for "blind carbon copy." This feature is necessary when you wish to send one email to multiple email addresses while preserving the privacy of those you are addressing. A recipient cannot see the email addresses of the other people included on the message. In many email programs, including Microsoft's Outlook Express, the BCC field is hidden and you have to change a setting to make it visible.
Things You'll Need
- Microsoft Outlook Express
- Desire to send out emails to multiple recipients
Instructions
-
-
1
Open Outlook Express and click "New Message."
-
2
Click on "View." This is the third text link from your left at the top of the window.
-
-
3
Choose "Show all Headers." The BCC field will now appear.
-
4
Type your email addresses into the BCC field with a semi-colon in between each address. There is no need to input anything into the To or CC fields to make use of the BCC field.
