Insert the Microsoft Photo Editor installation CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Once the disc has been placed into the drive, conduct the installation process manually.

Run the installation disc. Click on the "Start" menu icon on your computer's desktop taskbar. Select the "Run" action that will be listed within the "Start" drop down menu. Type the file location, "drive:\Setup.exe", in the data form that will be displayed in the "Run" drop down box to run the installation disc. The Microsoft Photo Editor InstallShield wizard will open automatically as a result of running the disc.

Click on the "Customize" option when prompted to choose an installation type, in order to proceed to the initial installation process. Follow the prompts that will be provided when the Microsoft Photo Editor InstallShield wizard opens.

Select your Microsoft Photo Editor features. Choose the "Not Available" option for all of the setup features on this list in the installation screen. Click on the "Features to Install" option, and select the "Office Tools" option in the submenu that will appear.

It would be best to install the full program to your computer, rather than simply running it. Running the program will only allow you to use it while the disc is in the drive.
Microsoft Photo Editor has been discontinued; therefore, it is imperative that you have the installation disc to reinstall the program to your computer's hard drive. There is no online software driver download for this program.
