How to Enable Internet Options
Understanding how to enable Internet options allows you to change the computer settings so that anyone can have access to the Internet Options tabs such as General, Security, Privacy or Content, Connections, Programs and Advanced options. If these tabs have been disabled, you can perform a few simple steps to enable the tabs and allow access to anyone. If you buy a used or new computer and the Internet Options are disabled, you will need to enable them so that you can set up the way your browser responds to your surfing needs.

Click the start button. In the search box, type GPEDIT.MSC and select enter to open the window titled "Group Policy Editor."

Select "User Configuration", which expands the window. Click on "Administration Templates" to expand that window. Click on "Windows Components" to expand another window and click on "Internet Explorer" to expand this window. Lastly, click on "Internet Control Panel."

Look at the right side of the window. You will see a list of items that are disabled. Double click the items that you want to enable.

Look at the properties window and click "Not Configured" and "OK." The item that you selected is now enabled.

Repeat these steps for each of the Internet Options tabs you want to enable. Enable any options that you need access to before closing the "Group Policy Editor."

Tips & Warnings
To disable the tabs in Internet Options, you can select "Enable" and "OK" to disallow access to that tab and remove its name from the tab section.
