How to Clean Trojan-Dropper
A Trojan-Dropper is a malicious program that is often used to gain unauthorized access to your computer. A Trojan-Dropper sometimes appears to be a legitimate program, like Microsoft Word. It may even hide in a copy of an actual program. When you run the application, the Trojan activates and "drops" another virus program onto your computer, and that program will proceed to damage or compromise your computer.

1
Download the AVG antivirus software (see Resources).
-
2
Install the software and allow it to scan your computer. After you run the installation program, AVG will ask you to scan your computer. This initial scan is very thorough and may take a long time; be sure to allow the scan to complete.
-
-
3
Check the "Scan Complete" window after the scan has finished running. AVG will indicate any viruses that it has found, including any Trojans or Trojan-Droppers.
-
4
Click on the "Remove All Unhealed Infections" button. In most cases, the antivirus program will be unable to "repair" Trojan-Droppers, as they aren't broken; they are just infections. Clicking this button ensures that all copies of Trojan-Droppers will be removed.
-
5
Allow the AVG program to remain running on your computer. It will take up a small amount of memory and remain active in your system tray, limiting the chance that your computer will be infected again by viral programs.
