How to Install an HP Printer to Ubuntu

Linux uses the Common UNIX Printing System (CUPS) to manage both local and networked printers. It has a web-based graphical configuration file that makes adding printers easy. The GUI also allows you to manage your printers and jobs, and add printers to classes. CUPS is designed for Unix based operating systems, but can be used in conjunction with Samba to share printers with Windows machines. It is installed by default in Ubuntu and most other major Linux distributions.
