Things You'll Need:
- Inserts (optional)
- Bowling alley
-
Step 1
Pick up your new fingertip bowling ball, placing only the first part of your finger, up to the second digit, into the ball. Use your standard approach and release for a practice shot.
-
Step 2
Determine if you are happy with the grip you have while throwing the fingertip bowling ball. If not, add fingertip bowling inserts to make the fingertip bowling ball a bit tighter around your fingers.
-
Step 3
Throw a few more practice shots to gauge how the fingertip bowling ball hooks and moves. Your standard approach, amount of steps, and release should be fine, however, you are now able to lift the fingertip bowling bowl further behind you, giving it more lift, hook and power upon the release.
-
Step 4
Move your stance a few boards to the left or right, depending on whether it is a left- or right-handed fingertip bowling ball, and the amount of hook you are now able to generate. Adjust your starting point based upon where the ball will hook to hit the pocket.
