1
Turn on your embossing gun. Allow it to heat up while you stamp your image.
-
2
Lay out an extra piece of cardstock or paper underneath the main project you are working on. This is to collect the extra embossing powder so you can return it to its original container without it going to waste.

-
3
Take the stamp that has the image you want to create and press it onto the embossing ink pad and then stamp the paper where you want the image to appear.
-
4
Sprinkle the embossing powder directly onto the stamped image and then tap off the excess powder onto the paper or cardstock that you placed underneath.
-
5
Use a small brush to gently brush away any leftover embossing powder that is around your stamped image.
-
6
Move your stamped image away from the cardstock that holds the excess embossing powder. You don't want the embosser to heat up that powder because you won't be able to use it.
-
7
Aim the embosser gun directly at the stamped image and move it in a circular motion. Don't allow the gun to get too close or you risk burning the paper. Once you notice that the embossing powder has liquefied and come together to harden and create the embossed image, remove the heat by setting the embosser aside. The embossing is done.
-
8
Pour the excess embossing powder from the cardstock back into the container.
