Here's the scenario. Your computer keeps reminding you that updates are available, and finally, finally, you upgrade to Internet Explorer 8. After the download is complete, you are excited to write some more eHow articles, so you kick out a great piece and anxiously go to your eHow inbox to let everyone know to RRCR your latest. Then, BAM, you are hit with an error message that says your Dynamic Toolbar, which you didn't even know you had, does not exist! After many attempts to retrieve it you realize something is seriously wrong and all you want to do is get your Dynamic Toolbar back, so you retrace your steps and VOILA! you remember that the only thing that is different is that you downloaded Internet Explorer 8. Being savvy, you check some eHow articles to see if anyone else has had this problem, and you find out your are not alone. Here is what you can do....

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First of all, you can stop worrying. Getting your Dynamic Toolbar back is actually very easy. The drawback is, you will have to live without Internet Explorer 8 until they find a solution to the problem.

  2. Step 2

Removing Internet Explorer 8 is actually a simple procedure. Go to START, CONTROL PANEL, and then ADD/REMOVE Programs. When the list appears, scroll down until you see Windows Internet Explorer 8. Click on REMOVE.

  3. Step 3

After Internet Explorer 8 is removed, your computer will restart. When everything comes back to life, miraculously Internet Explorer 7 is still in place. You will be asked if you would like to keep your settings the same in which you will reply YES.

  4. Step 4

Your computer will appear as if nothing had changed at all, which it hasn't. When you go to your inbox on eHow, you can send messages just like you did before.

  5. Step 5

Breathe. Everything is back to normal.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't panic. Internet Explorer 8 is the cause of the missing Dynamic Toolbar.
  • Removing Internet Explorer 8 is easy. No need to call a techy or geek.
  • Once you follow the steps above, everything will return to normal.
