How to Send a Fax using RingCentral's FaxOut

Step by step procedure in sending fax through RingCentral’s faxOut feature.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • RingCentral Account
  • The files you want to send.
  1. Step 1
    Click

    Click "Log in" at the top right of the RingCentral home page (http://www.ringcentral.com/). The Member Login window opens.

  2. Step 2

    Enter your phone number and password and click Submit.The Account
    Overview page opens, containing quick view information and helpful links.

    Click FaxOut in the main menu. The FaxOut – Fax from Web window opens.

  4. Step 4

    Enter the 10 digit Fax Machine Telephone Number. "Click Add" to post it to the list. Add additional fax numbers if needed.

    Tip:
    Click the Contacts link to add a fax machine number, listed in your RingCentral Contacts, with the click of the mouse.

  5. Step 5

    Click "Add Attachment" and browse your files for the document(s) you wish to fax files for the document(s) you wish to fax. Attach multiple documents as needed.

    RingCentral can fax over 30 different file types, including PDF, word, JPEG, powerpoint, excel, etc. Supported file types (http://help.ringcentral.com/cgi-bin/ringcentral.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=142)

  6. Step 6

    Click the "Use Cover Page" checkbox if you want to send a cover note. Compose your text. Choose among several cover page styles (“Contempo” is default style).

  7. Step 7

    Click the Schedule radio button if you want to send this fax at a future time/date.

  8. Step 8

    Click Send Fax and your document will:
    1. Be sent over the internet to RingCentral
    2. We will process it in our server
    3. We will fax the document to your party
    4. Image of fax record will be stored in your Messages tab for 30 days.
