Whether you have been selling things for years or are just getting started, here are some great ways to become a better salesman.

1. Sell a product you believe in.
   It will be much easier to persuade people to buy something that you use or at lease believe in. This can make you much more passionate about your job. This will show up when you are trying to make a sale. Everyone has different interests, so try to find your passion and find a way to start selling it. It can be anything from real estate to just a household product, just make sure it is something you enjoy.

2. Make sure you have plenty in stock.
   If you are planning on making a living off of what you are selling you will need multiple items. Also you will need fairly easy access to the product. You don't want to sell a product that you have a hard time getting. Because if you do not have an inventory, then you can't make any money. This is why buying wholesale is a great idea, you will get plenty of your item at a discounted rate.

3. Persistence.
   If you are a salesman the last thing you need to do is get discouraged. There will be many people out there who will not want your product or even want to give any of their time. But don't let that stop you from selling your item. Even if for every 10 people you talk to only one wants your item, you are still in good shape. But you must keep selling, don't be satisfied with just one sale a day, keep looking around for buyers.
