Step 1
Tools needed are spark plug socket, ratchet, torque wrench(optional), extension, and flat tip screwdriver.

Reach down the booth where the spark plug wire meets the distributor cap. Pull one spark plug wire out at a time and replace with a new one. Don’t forget to remove the other end of the wire where it is connected to the spark plug itself.

Step 3
While you are removing the old spark plug wire change out the spark plug at this time. Use a spark plug socket to do so. Replace with a new spark plug. Tighten as necessary. If you have a torque wrench, tighten to the torque specifications.

Step 4
Do the same for all the other spark plugs. Now to change out the distributor cap.

Step 5
There are two screws that hold the distributor cap in place. Go ahead and remove those screws and remove the distributor cap.

Step 6
Remove the screw in the middle of the distributor rotor and remove the rotor. Replace the rotor with a new one.

Step 7
Replace the distributor cap with a new one and place the spark plug wires on the new distributor cap. Screw the cap back in place and you are done.
