How to Paint a Closet

Every now and then you should give your closets a new coat of paint. It is a great way to breath new life into your closet. Follow these steps.

Things You'll Need

• Paint roller
• Roller pan
• Flat interior paint
• Foam paint brushes
• Drop cloth
• Painter's Tape

Instructions

1. Tape off the floor next to the base board inside the closet. Then lay the drop cloth over the rest of the closet floor and outside the closet, to make sure that you have enough working space.

2. Set up all the items you need on the drop cloth; paint brushes, roller, roller pan, screwdriver and paint.

3. Take the screwdriver and open the paint can. Next stir the paint with a stick, usually provided by the hardware store, make sure that you mix the paint well so that it goes on the wall evenly.

4. Pour the paint into the roller pan. When you apply the paint to the roller make sure to cover the roller evenly. Paint all the walls and ceiling with the roller.

5. Now, paint the edges and corners with the foam paint brushes.

6. Give the paint a couple of hours to dry and then go back with the foam paint brush and do any touch up necessary. Then you will be finished clean up your supplies and let the paint dry for a complete day before putting anything back in the closet.
