A few classic ones are mowing lawns and babysitting. By posting flyers up with the service you're offering and contact information in public places such as a local convenience store, libraries, swimming pools, etc., will help you reach your customers. When babysitting, do not take on more children than you can handle and it does help when they are potty trained.

Taking your passion and hobbies and teaching it to others is an awesome way to make extra money. Teaching things such as ballet or tap dance to younger children, gymnastics, crafts, and swimming. Baking breads and sweets and selling them, the traditional lemonade stand, having a yard sale, washing/detailing cars, planting flowers, and cleaning a neighbor's home are more ways to make summer money.
