Step 1
Get on Facebook. You can create a fan page for your organization and explain the services offered. Ask all your Facebook friends to become a fan, and ask them to ask their friends to visit your page.
-
Step 2
Use Twitter. Set up a profile for your non profit organization. Post updates frequently. Build your Twitter following and reach out to your target audience by following others who can benefit from your non profit services.
-
Step 3
Use MySpace. Set up a profile on MySpace. Build your friends list and ask others to spread the word about your organization.
-
Step 4
Use bookmarking sites such as Digg, Stumble Upon, and Reddit. Use these sites to bookmark blog posts, articles, videos, or podcasts. Post videos about your non profit services on YouTube or MetaCafe.
-
Step 5
Cross promote using all of these social media websites. For example, when you post a new video on YouTube, display it on your Facebook page, post a Twitter update, and submit it to Digg. If you post a new entry on your charity's blog, post the update on Twitter, Facebook, and MySpace. Always cross promote anything new you add to the internet.

Step 6
See the resources section below for more free ways to promote your non profit services on the internet.
