Step 1
Remove the rear differential bolt. You might need a breaker bar to get the bolt loose. There’s more then one bolt to loosen.
-
Step 2
Loosen the rest of the bolt with your hand. After the bolt is completely removed, remove the gasket and replace with a new one.
-
Step 3
Make sure you have an oil drain pan to collect the oil when you remove the bolt. Spread some newspapers on the floor to prevent oil from spilling on the ground.
-
Step 4
Wipe around the area and reinstall the drain plug. Don’t tighten all the way yet.
-
Step 5
Now we are going to pump oil into the differential. Connect the hose to the filler hole and have someone pump the oil into the differential.
-
Step 6
Once you see fluid start to leak out of the hole, you should stop pumping.
-
Step 7
Remove the hose from the hole and screw the plug in as fast as you can because fluid will leak out.
-
Step 8
Wipe the area clean of oil. Now tighten all bolts to the torque specifications. That’s it, you are all done.
