Restless leg syndrome (RLS) can start at any age male or female. RLS is a condition, which makes your legs, feel uncomfortable sitting or lying down making you feel like you need to get up and move around. Many people suffer from RLS and the cause can be unknown. There is no test to diagnose restless leg syndrome. There are different ways to help control RLS symptoms.

Things You'll Need:

  • Blood test
  • Hot compresses
  • Ibuprofen
  1. Step 1

    Iron deficiency is one cause of RLS. Ask your doctor for a blood test to see if you are iron deficient. If you are iron deficient, taking iron supplements will stop RLS symptoms.

  2. Step 2

    Taking a mild pain reliever such as Ibuprofen before bed will help with the symptoms. In addition, a warm bath and or massage before bed will help. You can also use warm or cold compresses.

  3. Step 3

    Exercise and stretching are very important in relieving RLS. As well as avoiding caffeine, alcohol, and tobacco because, they are stimulants.
