Step 1
Rental Car
If you are flying into the area, it would be best if you rented a car. Sedona is not like a city where you can walk to all the popular destinations, and though there are cabs, there are not many. I suggest that you do provide your own transportation, but if you will be staying in the popular Uptown area and don't desire to travel far you can get by without your own car. -
Step 2
Sedona Roadrunner
This is Sedona's only bus route. The route is limited, but if you are going to be spending time in the Uptown, Tlaqupuque area and the Hillside area, this is a great choice. The shuttle drops you off at several different stops and will be back every 15 minutes. This is also a wise choice because parking during peak tourist season are hard to come by. -
Step 3
Biking
If you are an avid Biker, Sedona now has a great bike path from Sedona to the Village of Oak Creek. It is a breathtaking drive. The drive is about 7-8 miles. Though there are stretches of the road still under construction. -
Step 4
Sedona Phoenix Shuttle
If you are not wanting to rent a car and are flying into the Phoenix airport you can catch a ride on the Sedona Phoenix shuttle. -
Step 5
Taxi
Sedona is not a big Taxi City, but there are Taxi's you can call for a ride. You will have to get a phone number because you will not be able to flag one down.
