This is a very simple recipe to make when you are craving brownies or some other gooey chocolate treat, but your diet just doesn't allow for it. This recipe makes a single serving.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1 egg or 1/4 cup eggbeaters
  1. Step 1

Get a clean coffee cup and crack the egg into it.

  2. Step 2

Add the scoop of chocolate protein powder to the coffee cup. You could use other flavors of protein powder for this if you like, depending on your own personal tastes and what you're craving at the moment.

  3. Step 3

Stir the egg and the chocolate protein powder together with a spoon. Once it's all mixed together, it will look and taste like brownie batter. Of course, you may be a bit squeamish about tasting it but it's really no different than tasting brownie batter that's made traditionally with eggs. Egg beaters can be substituted for the raw egg if you worry about salmonella as they are pasteurized.

  4. Step 4

Put the coffee cup in the microwave and cook at 60% power for one to two minutes. I like to cook it for just one minute as that way the brownie doesn't cook all the way through and it has gooey spots that taste like chocolate sauce.

  5. Step 5

Enjoy your brownie for one with no guilt. This dessert is just as healthy as drinking a protein shake.
