How to Modify the Windows XP Logon Screen

Modifying the Windows XP log-on screen can be done in a few ways depending on how you want to change the screen. You have the option of changing the picture on the log-on screen, modifying the name on the log-on screen, or adding an additional name to the log-on screen.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Navigate to the "Start" menu.

  2. Step 2

    Click on the "Control Panel'" once."

  3. Step 3

    Select "User Accounts."

  4. Step 4

    Pick the task you want to complete. Under "Pick a task," you will see three options: "Change an account," "Create a new account" and "Change my picture."

  5. Step 5

    Follow the prompts for the task you choose.
